I can’t even get the airdrops sold because they are worthless. The gambling dapps are so far the only ones that make some sense. With the caveat I get more shitty tokens with little or no value. Still they too drop in price due to an overcrowded space. So I get to a point where I don’t see the benefit of it. The leap in performance is what is intriguing, not economics. At last count I had 60 something tokens, only around 7-8 of them offer something I can see a need for. And that’s maybe stretching it. Add to it that I account every frikken little transaction manually. So it might be something I do just for the fun and get back to bitUSD when the hype reach a certain level.

Which is not yet active. Not counting chintai. It might be good. It’s yet to be seen. The premise for it to work is demand. Otherwise it is in vein. You would come out better without the “instamoon” term. They will not moon when inflation kills them. A great example is one of the most hyped projects, karma.

It would take more than just a guy.. and I have seen in the past how unwilling community is to spend money on this.. everyone has an opinion instead and professes it as though they are the ones that really know. 1000s of hours of social media browsing doesnt make you a subject matter expert though.. for example. Do you think there would be approval of as much as $200k a year for on going customer research? More importantly.. where does all this research go in an open dac?

I think probably that's unavoidable - what we need to do is focus on building tools that can be used as a basis for plug and play development by private enterprises building on Bitshares. Currently we have the DEX - 20 companies have set up on this and are running exchanges. That's one 'workflow' of the DAC and there could be a whole load of study on that to identify where we should invest (centrally) to help these guys succeed, attract more of them and profit more from their success (whether through fees or BTS adoption). A big question is what are the other workflows? I think this is where it would be really valuable to invest in a market research type study - what tools could we build that would enable businesses to come to BTS and utilise the blockchain? The purpose of that study would be to identify workflows that might have potential and do some high level assessment - consult the community, prepare a long list and filter it down to maybe five looking at what's needed, what Bitshares could do, how it would add value (both to the target market and Bitshares) and the ballpark work required to get a minimum viable product. You could then propose individual workers for taking each to the next stage with some interested/capable teams taking up the baton. Kong mentioned payroll, Funkit accounting - there is a whole load once you're thinking business services, financial services, games etc.
