There really hasn't been any wps like this. So far nobody has wanted to pay for a quality UI / UX design which pays attention and does required research / categorization / investigation of user needs in the proper way. It will not be cheap.

That isn't focused on user requirements, only what the devs believe UI requirements are. Not enough effort into a) identifying the target audience, b) identifying specific use cases for that audience. IMO we have soo much functionality it will require several modes / different UI designs to satisfy people. That's where identifying each class of user and what they need / want should be first priority of such a wp. Market research comes into play, as do focus groups.

That’s how I understand it. A full history node basically requires a dedicated machine with tons of RAM. Basic RPC nodes we run with the 1000 setting, take up 19GB RAM for the blockchain file (using specially configured SSDs to fool the OS to believe it’s RAM ... Otherwise 24 nodes specs would cost us 10 thousand more per month. More full nodes needed ... I think Openledger runs one. More big startups on bitshares to come and contribute their own would be awesome.

EasyDex will be setting up some geographically diverse full nodes as soon as we have the funding to do so

Yes you are right there is a lot of unnecessary stuff, scams, noobs questions, silly humor etc etc that gets posted here. But it's kind of like a club and it's sometimes funny and I personally enjoy it. Now that I give it some thought I'm here, in these bts groups, to help. I look for people who are asking for assistance and I guide them if I can, if I can't I send them to those who can or the wallet help group. So that's my answer, I'm here for the Community and all that means (the good, the bad, and the ugly) and I'm here to help if I can. Why? Because I am amazed by what bitshares is and what it can do.

As far as off-topic conversation, if we only answered questions and solved problems then this group would get pretty boring rather quickly and most of the people that are here to help people wouldn't check in as much. Having fun conversation ensures that there's generally someone around to answer questions or guide people to where they can get the answers they seek. Also, we're a rather global comunity and groups like this is where we all come together without borders. We're all brought together through bitshares but with that comes a general similarity of political, philsophical and economic outlooks that's rare in the world but really common among us.

If they make a fine product bts will earn them back within a month in rising pool and fees from new people who finally can join and use bts.. So many have moved on and left bts only because of the UI and no progress bad connection and no Mobil/tablet.. Who gives low liquidity and they also move;) It’s the most important thing, I also know coins who don’t wanted to build on BTS because of the bad UI they didn’t want the problem for there costumers.. I have also seen a lot of complaints in scorum chat where people beg the release the coin on another exchange because they don’t understand the dex and then call it shit.. 350k cheap vs the income it will give..

Yeah, Polo has a nice interface. And I see a lot of similarities. I do however think it is too simplistic to just copy. The dex has thousands of assets of various types. something polo never will have.

Also, with regard to workers etc, I should remind everyone that an escrow worker's duration is not the same as it's true duration. Worker duration on chain is the period during which it will be vesting pay. Actual work duration is whatever is paid for.

I don't want to see any FORCE used here. Perhaps you meant somthg else, poor choice of words. But when we start down the path of using force to get things done we've lost the "war" philosophically. We can do much better, and we have been. What I read between the lines in your issue is there is no incentive for devs to take on tough problems, and perhaps the prioritization of tasks needs improvement. Both are management issues. One concern I have is if you incentivize fixing tough problems devs could drag their feet to get higher pay. I don't think our devs think that way, but it could happen if such incentives are applied to bug bounties. I have minimal experience as a manager so I'm no expert in these kind of issues. But I believe this community can solve this issue. I am definitely in favor of a proper UI / UX design effort. Upon reflection about the UI proposal I think we need a cooperative approach between design and dev teams. I find that missing unfortunately. I hope somebody like Senter in the PeerPlays project will step up and help to bridge the gap between the scorum team and our UI dev team. This is what we need. We have to move away from the ref wallet concept and begin to focus systematically on users. Perhaps the UI dev team would be better suited in the role of an R&D team. Cooperation is still essential and we all know that is the most efficient path to success.

If they can choose not to work on important stuff then it isn't "force". The language is wrong. You can tell workers if you don't work on tasks assigned to you then your pay will be reduced or withheld. That isn't force. Some may say it's coercion, but as long as choice is involved it isn't force.
