Its irrelevant every regulation is different there is no one size fits all, and by the way regulators dont really care about how functionally blockchains work, they are if you are making offerings to the public in their jurisdiction. These are business problems not bitshares

I recently had to get some legal advice about whether bitassets were securities under Australian law (sadly, seems the answer is yes). You've right that appraisals for other countries don't really help (although a US o UK one would help marginally). But, what I and the lawyer struggled with was getting clear and precise descriptions of how bitassets and MPAs actually work. The best was Dan's old blog posts, but these are out-of-date and his terminology isn't very helpful (he uses finanical industry terms quite loosely)

The conversation earlier was more around the performance characteristics of bitshares... Sidechains/IBC via merkle proofs is the one I'll give you from that list , although I'd like to see it in proper production use first. Parallel processing was something Dan had seen in the future for BTS too (the whole 100k tps story) but EOS is single threaded at launch too. In any case, probably somethign that can be backported if and when it happens. The rest have little to do with modernisation. $4b for dapps that block.one chooses how to spend. BTS has a coninuously replenished reserve pool where stakeholders choose where the funds are spent. I don't have exact statistics but BTS distribution right now is quite large and diverse. As far as BPs are concerned, BTS witness infrastructure size is on par with what's required. If it required more , I am sure witnesses woul step up asd they've done before. BTS witness are also a much more diverse group that dont try to continuously align themselves with each other. Assuming by block.oen support you mean dev support and continuous maintenance, we have a perfectly capable core dev team here too.

Bts community couldn't fund the dev for parallel processing as they wouldn't introduce inflation. This is because it was assumed fees would be enough but adoption wasn't high enough. Lack of funds for continued development was addressed in eos. $4B deployed through VC's yes. You're forgetting the 5% inflation of which only 1% goes to BP'S. The rest is sent to a worker proposal fund. So eos has the Bts model on steroids PLUS the $4B :-) Im sure Bts devs are more than capable. But there's a massive difference when you can throw over 100 devs at something in addition to community effort to speed up key milestones. Im not bagging Bts. I hope you guys can make use of eos tech and do really well too. But there's way more to eos than just a Bts clone and to say otherwise is naive or fud.
