so an asset keeps dead because some people didn't watched for their CR. In my opinion it was also a fault of bitshares itself since once you had your ratio under 1.75 you couldn't add funds if it didn't gave a higher ratio than 1.75.

CNY as well as USD has to remain very tight to their price in the real world, regardless of what is who trading where. I do agree that bitcrab moves and decisions are a bit radical, but i see no breaking any law or rule around blockchain by doing so.

99.99% of the times that is the case. But we're discussing the largest proxy removing support from 3-4 witnesses at the same time. Not supposed to happen which is why IDEALLY those thigns are discussed first.

Is there a time at to centrally address all active witnesses with some kind of notification in urgent cases. Or is the forum (and waiting for them to see the message) the only possibly. It seems that the three witnesses who changed the values on their own behalf are not all ones you wanna lose as witness. So giving them a chance to correct their mistake before removing votes would be a better option. But for that to happen there needs to be a way to directly talk to them

This is a good point and in reality everyone involved just wants BTS to succeed - Bitcrab and others won't be doing anything to intentionally screw over BTS but I do think there is a risk that this MSSR change could be trying to deal with one issue (liquidity during a bearmarket) by increasing the risk of a much worse issue (black swan of the smart asset) which is why it's important major decisions are by majority after careful consideration

If you signed up using openledger, then they prioritize their assets. The btc, eth, eos, etc. are all "open" assets, which means they were issued by openledger to represent the underlying asset. There are several other exchanges that have dinner the same thing (gdex, bridge) but openledger doesn't show those assets, since they are competing assets.

When you deposit btc using openledger you receive "open.btc" which shows up as just "btc" when using their website. You can then exchange this for bts (open.btc consistently has the most liquidity vs the other exchanges in the bts markets).

Yes I deposited BTC from a different wallet and ended up with the open.BTC. As we "spoke" if figured how to get to the right coin symbols on the exchange, a price to offer and successfully executed a Bitshares trade. "Yay Ray!" I wonder what is meant by "liquidity." I guess its grease on the rails to help people trade, but suppose there is a fee somehow.

Also keep in mind, if you ever want to remove your btc from there bitshares ecosystem, you need to withdraw through a gateway (open.btc is withdrawn through openledger). Openledger then exchanges your open.btc for real btc and sends it to your bitcoin wallet. Same thing goes for eth, eos, steem, monero, dash, and a bunch of other coins.

some is good some is bad, an external guy cant always get it right first time, i hope when they start working with us they will know better. 2fa is coming, and bitshares will no longer be mentioned up front, it seems t confiuse the masses, i think if result is massive inflow of users and increase traction, nobody here should care whether bisthares is mentioned or not, as this is a trading engine meant to be inside many future products

well, as long as we dont have a market maker program, no point in changing, but once we have very soon, it does not matter if 0,2 as its all in what the market make receives

Hello, I am using Neon Wallet 0.2.3. I have had no issues the past few weeks using it with Ledger Nano S, but starting today the wallet just gives me an endless loading screen. I am sure this is not a problem with Ledger as it doesn't even get to the point of choosing the option of selecting Ledger to access the wallet. I have several different computers with Neon Wallet, they all have the same problem. I have tried uninstalling and re-installing, but no luck. I have waited for up to 2 hours to see if the loading screen ever changes, but it never does. I hope someone can please help me.

I understand your point; And don't have any problem with transparency of BBf or the monetization model they chose My point is that looks very bad not only from outside that majority of all workers in the ecosystem is come from one entity, especially if this entity make a profit from this. @ronnyb @xeroc I feel there are similar primitives between the Graphene descendants such as their account model, election-based consensus, operation structure and much more. These taken together make them similar, yet clearly distinct from Bitcoin, Etherum, etc. in implementing identities, tokens and applications. YES, the #Apptrade project is still alive. Closing down the #APPX master token is the best thing to happen to our business model. Now non recourse advances can truly take place between a factor and their clients without a universal 20% added on expense to operate each loan. If two people execute a loan, that agreement should be between those two participants and an algorithm. However the APPX master token acted as a third “silent” participant that essentially wedged itself between two parties and was going to extract 20% from each loan created on the blockchain. Makes no sense..right?! Especially for the factor. I’ll be releasing some diagrams soon to illustrate this inefficiency. Apptrade’s Advance factoring, smartloans for app developers, is still in development. We’re looking for apps to begin on boarding months ahead of the platform’s release. sure. but there is a huge conflict of interest between X and BBF and trying to meet BBF's recommendations only to get their (actually xeroc's) votes - it's not the good strategy, imo. BBF positions itself as an escrow (like blockchained does, and may be we could find even more escrow) . But voters looks (may be, not mandatory) for BBF "approval". Why not just looking in the proposal itself?
