Dont want to get too much into price speculation in here but i think BTS has a very good chance of increasing massively if BitShares becomes the go to place for exchanges to come and start up. Which is very possible. BTS could end up being the majority market pairing rather than BTC. Also smart coin adoption on exchanges built on bitshares... so who knows but id love to see that happen

Spinning on the (not) price prediction theme, I got a flashback to April of last year when I discovered open Ledger. I will have to say I discovered ol, because it was the one recognizable face that gave it legitimacy. There was so many boxes that ticked at once, it was like a endless stream of possibilities opening. And while the percentage might seem high, I could see use cases to reach triple digit. Is there for example something ripple can do that bts can't? Someone more knowledgeable than me would have to correct me, but I think not. Ripple is at present at 32 cents and has a total supply of 100 bn that will be released gradually afaik. BTS has a total supply of 3,6 bn. And a price of 12 cent at present. From time to time I do play with those numbers and get heebee jeebees. Playing with numbers is dangerous and one should only do it for fun. But there are some hairy scenarios that open up. The problems that needs to be solved are however massive. There is a need to simplify things. And I believe a solid application that works everywhere and understood by everybody is an important first step. I think done right, there is no end to the number of different businesses that will connect. I have lost count of the number of gateways already. And I see that as a major indicator that there is an amazon effect that could do crazy shit with the percentage. Yeah and I forgot: morning peeps 👀 I should not think before coffee.

Means you're not changing debt or collateral. I saw that when trying to set a target collateral ratio. Needed to move at least 1 bts for it to take.

As a proxy, the decision is rather easy, when OMO can buy cheap BTS, let it. When people dump their stake into it, let them. OMO is a subsidized market maker, nothing more. It had a few hickups, it should trade more efficiently and certainly much smarter, but OMO is still at the beginning. Automation will help big time
