imo for collateral purpose should be only use MPA with "bit" prefix and only those approved by committee with high liquidity, e.g currently bitCNY and bitUSD (and BTS) using other tokens, including UIA, can significantly overturn the BTS economic model by significantly reducing its value

Nobody can prevent you from creating a bitasset (MPA) which uses an UIA as the backing collateral, you'd just need to provide price feeds reliably for whatever external reference asset value you want to peg your MPA to.

All committee owned assets are limited to only using BTS backing (prevented in code from using UIA), I agree that the committee should focus on improving their 'smartcoins' however we should certainly encourage the creation of experimental 'privatised' bitassets by non-committee bitshares users. If UIA backed MPA succeed, they'll bring more liquidity and tx fees to the BTS DEX.

Use the latest software in combination with cointracking.info Just remember to tidy up the asset names to the names cointracking uses. Like open.btc = btc and use BitUSD instead of USD in the exported CSV data. With a little practice you'll get the hang on it.

If i wanted to send total funds to another account i dont want to calculate fee to minus it from amount. Yep. It's quite logical when you think of it: The output from the CSV ignores Bit-prefix for smartcoins which makes cointracking pick up the real fiat value. Which is wrong since it's not the same asset class. Note: cointracking recognizes bit-assets. Many of them anyway Prefix for gateway assets is not understood as far as I can see. And the convenience of picking up price from the index is lost. There are other things that could also improve the merging of data. I'll have to get back to you on that.

The prefixes are great. BitShares is the only platform that is explicit about the trusted vs trustless aspect of assets. I think alot of new people miss it, but I think it's neat.

In both local and cloud wallet your keys can be stolen of the website got compromised in its content. If the attacker manages to only include a keylogger, the cloud wallet allows immediate attacked whereas the local wallet only exposes the password, but not the bin file. Additionally you can easier back up local wallet as its encrypted.
