Depends what PPY markets are liquid, ie: have orders on the books. Any asset is tradeable against any asset. It is possible to trade PPY for ETH but unlikely to have any orders on the books. Best way is to probably trade ETH for BTS or bitUSD then to PPY

Yeah, these ERC20 versions of bitshares assets need to be eradicated imho - only cause confusion and possibility for fraud. If they work as intended, then why not simply hold the underlying bitasset directly. If they don't, they leave users with a horrible experience that bitshares is not responsible for, but that they will attribute to bitshares anyway. Wish there was a way to stop it 🙁

File a GitHub issue and if possible give them a detailed report of what goes wrong. If you have used the app over some time, downgrade it to a version that works for you.

Cache cleaning would probably be better. In the client it erases all custom pairs. Which makes me reluctant to do it.
