You'll note binance charges zero flat fee for buy/sell/cancel ops; only charges on fill ops and offers maker/taker rewards. Further, they have strict limits on minimum order size and minimum withdrawal size. So they limit spam not through taxing their liquidity providers to spite their spammers but through models which limit dust transactions with strict cutoffs. Bitshares dex takes a cut off ones nose to spite their face approach by comparison. I can keep 50 orders dancing on the top of their books by algo all day every day in every market without any fee paid. Try doing that on dex and you will go bankrupt in flat fees.

Not same, reduced CP risk although not 0 like MPAs. Orderbook and matching/execution is done by the Dex not an internal closed box database. UIA balances also public and if a gateway shuts down you still have the UIA and can maybe sell it for some % vs losing 100% in case of CEX disappear.

If the thing is about trust, there is not much difference from CEXes. I love bitshares and really wait for HTLC.

Regarding trust, there is no trust when it comes to money so whole conversation is pointless. We dont trust government banks but we will trust random people, yeah right. There is proof of work for each gateway and history of their fuckups, pick the one who has lowest amount/value of fuckup itself and use if you need - statistics/numbers are there on the blockchain if there is no trust.

The transaction fees were always supposed to be pegged to a USD dollar value, but have not been adjusted during the downtrend in the last months (aka they had a huge discount). Now they have been adjusted to reflect their supposed USD value

They are reliable, they exist for some time and they are slow like anyone else. Give it 2-3 days to be sorted/replied - if not, feel free to start making drama and fud in their channels/groups until you're satisfied :)

Well, if we assume that you were doing SWIFT transfer in a bank, you would be paying 40-50$ fee on 2000-3000$ transfer. If happens that account you were sending have one incorrect detail, nobody would notify you and once you somehow claim your money back you would be paying that same insane fee again for the transfer :)

Hello veryone,
The current price of Bitcoin is $3862 (Bitmex Pricing), with 24 hour volume leveling at 9.9 billion USD.
Bitcoin’s price has increased by roughly 6.6% since yesterday’s daily close; its volume has increased by ~35%. These are massive movements considering the current state of the market. Clearly there is immense buying pressure of $BTC in the 3k range.
Now, the question is, where do we go from here?
We will never know, with absolute certainty, where the market is headed, but we are seeing enough to postulate that there is more upside for $BTC and $Alts in the coming weeks.
Volume is the key ingredient to any shift change in market structure. We have seen large amounts of volume since the beginning of this bear market, but typically these volume spikes have been associated with sell-offs. Crypto is currently experiencing its highest volume day since May 2018 -- and there is still over 3 hours left until the daily close!
$BTC transactions are now almost back to all-time highs, which indicates good health across the industry 🌝.
Technically speaking, we are seeing wyckoff accumulation price structures (most nearing completion), completed inverse head and shoulders breaking upwards, and moving averages shift from resistance to support across the board in crypto. All three of these are present on $BTC.
Our team believes that over the course of the next few weeks, we will see $BTC march towards $4700-5000, where major resistance and technical price targets will be achieved. Not to mention, there could also be psychological resistance at $5k .
We will be taking on an uncharacteristically high crypto/fiat portfolio weight as we are very bullish for the coming weeks (90% crypto/10% fiat) ⚖️. The move north for $BTC should trigger $Alts to take back some of the territory lost over the course of this bear market.
That being said, we think that there may be some slightly better opportunities over the course of the next 24-48 hours to enter as crypto prices consolidate after this run up.
We will keep you updated on price action and our sentiment over the coming days 👊.

“Without any mining at all, the generation of a random number in a decentralized manner is impossible and thus an attacker could control the random number generation.” This is obviously wrong, there are provable random systems where a random number from each participant is hashed and those numbers are submitted the can be checked on randomness and an average or sum can be made.

That comes from lack of on chain use. When nobody can use it during peaks, who on earth would use it? Our fees are far better, plus no waiting hours for confirmations

Well I’d like to see data on that but I’m going to study DPOS and compare it with others.. My hypothesis is that adding provably fair randomness could be a good thing..

Yes. BitCNY, BitEUR and BitRUBEL are still going strong. BitUSD is in global sttlement. There are also USDT and TrueUSD available through 3. parties. I think it was Openledger.
