first i don't belive usdt is dying and think there are 2 options.
1.Creating fud so people leave fiat because of the next big dip coming
2.Rothschild implementing his own USD stablecoin which he announced
USDT was backed by a bank controlled by the rothschild

The contract eosbet is using didn't check the receiver when receiving transfer. The attacker was actually transferring money from his A account to his B account. In the B account, he just forwarded the transaction to eosbet. As eosbet didn't check the receiver, they think it was a transfer from someone to its account, and allow this transaction to place the bet and finally, tokens were paid when he win the bet. After checking with contract, we did checked the receiver is our contract and should not be affected by this bug. Although we should not be affected, we would look closely on our account and confirm that it is safe. We would also double check our contract again to ensure the security.

Trouble with AML/KYC stablecoins is if you sell a bitcoin on a dex. You might be selling it to a drug dealer. Then when you try to exchange your stablecoin for real money the AML/KYC computer will freeze your stablecoin.

1) fix core to allow MCR use with BSIP42

3) Witnesses need to invest more time to "adjust" the algo when it fails due to swings in market (according to bitcrab such adjustments will continually need to be made)

Need to set expectatons and establish metrics to assess the algo's ability to keep a tight peg, and describe how witnesses should participate.
Zapata's feed monitor will definitely help, as it gives a good picture and a way to compare each witness' feed.
We also should try to give witnesses a way to step aside so to speak while experimentation takes place. I can certainly see why a shareholder `might` want to "unvote" a witness that chooses not to participate during experimentation, but IMHO that isn't a good practice.
I feel it's rather agressive to do that until the algo is "as good as it gets" according to witness consensus, and perhaps an open source script is made available for non-coding witnesses to use. I feel it should be formally described how witnesses can participate and help algo development / testing or bow out until consensus algo is ready for production by disabling that asset feed or reducing the feed time to be very slow so as not to interfere with experimentation.
These are some of the experimentation / coordination aspects I believe should be established prior to experimentation starting.

I agree. That's why I told Bitcrab continual adjustments to algo indicate the algo is not adequate. The point of automation is to reduce labor and provide consistency and reliability.
You can't code an algo that predicts the market, you can only aproximate it. Although I don't like the idea of having to continually tweak an algo to do anythng, I will if it will mean a tighter peg AND if I understand the approach to experimentation.
As for my personal contribution I intend to participate. I only hope we can do it better than it was done in BitCNY and with clear objectives and expectations.

Well said. You do can contribute to the docs and tools.
`So instead of arguing, which analytics sites provide good metrics, Nomics, onchainfx, CMC…?`
Good question. How did you select them to eval CNY last time? I'd guess the same ones may not prove useful in the USD market, but IDK if that's true. That's why I thought to study Zapata's code, to see if I can identify useful points to instrument or variables that would be useful to expose to help us optimize the algo.
So which channel (forum?) should these conventions and tools be discussed and developed? Should this convo move elsewhere?
First question I have is how do we go about keeping witnesses' algos "synced", so we can coordinate the premium / adjustment changes? Some type of a "adjustment parameter leader", a reference for witnesses to sync their adjustments to, perhaps by simply "pinning" the most recent info to the top of a Telegram channel. I've noticed convos in Telegram can get rather fast paced and hard to follow. Perhaps just a convention to "pin" a msg in channel with most recent info witnesses can use to keep their algos tweaked & synced with others.
You abit were kindof acting in that capaccity during the cny experimentation, providing info on which way premium was going as an example. Point is we need a target to shoot for and a way for witnesses to "get on the same page" as each other. It won't help if witnesses all use different settings.
I will spend some time today studying Zapata's BSIP42 code as I suspect it will be the starting point many witnesses will use to feed BitUSD via BSIP42.

“Blockchain data from Omni, the second-layer protocol that operates on the Bitcoin blockchain and serves as the infrastructure for the tether token, reveals that cryptocurrency exchange Bitfinex sent 300 million USDT to the Tether treasury address last week through two separate transactions.
The first, executed on Oct. 9, returned 100 million USDT to Tether. Just five days later, on Oct. 14, Bitfinex — which reportedly shares a management team with Tether — sent another 200 million tokens to the treasury address. Previously, on Oct. 3, Bitfinex had returned 10 million USDT to the treasury, which has not issued any new tokens since Sept. 21.

I don't think it's BS, just rushed into service prematurely. BSIP42 was written better than some I've seen, but it needed more specification, more coordination for witness experimentation. I'd like to improve the approach we take on BitUSD.

```1. The settlement price (SP), given as bitUSD/BTS - someone who owns bitUSD can request settlement and will have their bitUSD converted to BTS 24 hours later, at the settlement price.
2. The margin call ratio (MCR) - in order to borrow x bitUSD you have to provide at least (x*MCR/SP) BTS as collateral. If the settlement price goes down, at some point SP/MCR will drop below your debt/collateral ratio, and you will be margin called.
3. The maximum short squeeze ratio (MSSR or MSQR) - a debt position that is margin called will automatically try to buy bitUSD from the market, paying up to MSSR/SP BTS per bitUSD.```
As I see it there can be only price feeds, like how much BTC for $1, we know the markets on the DEX, the MCR is defined so the only variables which create havoc is wrong external price feeds?
Not nearly as risky when the collateral is held by the blockchain as opposed to the ridiculous numerous bank accounts suggested in the article.
They said "Fiat backed coins". Our word/term for them are IOU, or UIA.
BPs were a group pre-chain who worked to bring it forward. BPs were selected by themselves. They selected an ABP by random process. The ABP appointed 21 interim BPs. The 21 BPs were voted in and out by community. Chain was not declared live until 15% voting.
ECAF was set up by people working to bring governance forward. Interim Arbitrators were selected by ECAF people. The Arbitrators are to be voted on when we get referendum, according to RDR. Waiting, waiting...
Luckily for the BPs, on-chain voting was built in. Unluckily for everyone else, their referenda is still a wip.
About Bliss Bank
I looked into it.
·Date of establishment May 21, 2018
I'm going to raise funds and apply for a license,
It is not a bank, but a bank that has already been established!
A bank that incorporates cutting-edge technology🏦
I couldn't think of a bank like this before.
But that's what's happening!
Japan is still far behind, but there are some things in the world that are done as a matter of course...
This is the first bank in the world that can transfer money in cryptocurrency.
It is also possible to make a higher annual dividend ✨
·We have already paid £15 million (about ¥2.2 billion) in capital.
Location: Comoro Islands
This is the Comoro Islands.
We are a non-CRS member state, which is our most earnest wish.
What would you like to be non-CRS?
→ You can protect your privacy by not grasping your assets.
Founder Hans Count von der Recke
In the financial industry, he will become a global leader.
So if you look at your background on Linkedin, you'll see.
I'm sure I'm from finance.
▁ https://jp.linkedin.com/in/hans-graf-von-der-recke-931a1b24
I also work for Sanwa Bank, the predecessor of Mitsubishi UFJ Bank in Japan.
·SWIFT BIC
US>LSISKMK1
Bliss Bank, of course, has acquired SWIFT code.
*Download SWIFT official site CODE search screen
www.dell.com
It is an international bank recognized by the Interbank Communications Association.
And finally, Bliss Bank has a little bit of a history.
You can only have an account by holding an xGT (cross-gate token).
I can't imagine how this will generate a profit for those who are participating for a limited time, and the rightful income to continue.
Bank sales are tens of billions of dollars a month!
"BitUSD is the equivalent of the old bank notes that promised to pay $1 worth of value on demand. In the case of the old bank notes, this value was denominated in gold or silver. In the case of the BitShares this value is $1 worth of equity, aka BTS. BitShares can almost always make good on this promise because when someone comes to redeem a note and is unable to sell it on the market directly the value of the BitUSD in terms of BTS will rise until the decentralized bank has the authority to call a loan and use the collateral to repurchase the BitUSD."
CoinTiger exchange's bitcny trading pair has a daily turnover of 1,000 BTC, and today another exchange, azex, also promised to launch bitcny trading pairs. If BTS has higher market value to support bitcny and bitusd, it will have the opportunity to line up more large exchanges
if bitCNY is in demand there should be a premium which would incentivise the market to make more bitCNY. No fund and free money given to unaccountable people necessary for that
Why not try getting them to add ability to borrow bitcny with bts via their centralised exchange (bts dex op performed in the backend), so that reserve funds aren't needed to supply cex with liquidity?
As far as I know, there is an organization that controls the price of BTS on several big exchanges in a fake way, to make money by shorting large debt positions, which greatly hurts the BTS community, so I think it is very necessary to restrain short sellers.
This is an ICO transaction publishing platform that has just been tested online recently. It is based on BitShares depth optimization and needs bitcny to raise funds.
I'm sorry I didn't get what you meant
Adding just cny is going to lead to a lack of liquidity. If they could buy bts to then borrow cny on that external centralised exchange then you help cut out the lack of liquidity
Respectfully disagree. Think that better strategy is to keep BTS on DEX and let price rise of bitCNY relative to CNY incentivize BTS holders to short bitCNY and then sell to CEX or ICO platform.
if bitCNY is in demand there should be a premium which would incentivise the market to make more bitCNY. No fund and free money given to unaccountable people necessary for that
As far as I know, there is an organization that controls the price of BTS on several big exchanges in a fake way, to make money by shorting large debt positions, which greatly hurts the BTS community, so I think it is very necessary to restrain short sellers.
Very interesting. Can you elaborate on "shorting large debt positions"?
Is the shorting that you mention different than the shorting of bitCNY into existence by using BTS as collateral?
CoinTiger exchange's bitcny trading pair has a daily turnover of 1,000 BTC, and today another exchange, azex, also promised to launch bitcny trading pairs. If BTS has higher market value to support bitcny and bitusd, it will have the opportunity to line up more large exchanges
IMHO the volume there is fake. what's cointiger's BTS account anem? how much bitCNY is in their account? those bitCNY can support 1000BTC daily volume?
What you guys don't get is once a premium is established. Traders view it as a break in peg and bitcny is discredited.
"Users will enjoy 99% off the trading fees on TUSD trading pairs (BTC/TUSD, ETH/TUSD and USDT/TUSD) from Oct. 15, 22:00 to Oct. 22, 22:00, 2018 (UTC+8)"
What are your thought in here? Is that good? For me it's not good they just proved that TUSD has no users that's why they do this.
i find this 99% off the trading fees on TUSD trading pairs (BTC/TUSD, ETH/TUSD and USDT/TUSD) more interesting rather than that
Because there is a testnet with actual users called eos. Until this thing is stable, it's a total waste to launch another fork with zero, or very little action. Helps no one imo
You are right, but on the other hand they are trying to build a "better eos" that fixes the user-unfriendliness of eos. And what better time to capitalize on that you can find than when eos works like shit?
There's a chance for someone to steal a march on EOS I reckon and come up with a 'fork' that takes over
