That's because their margin was dangerously low, the market dropped, the system sold what was needed to reach the MCR and now it's on the trader to either pay down their debt or adjust their CR. I'd say traders gotta trade anyway. selling up to 1.85 means 10x sell pressure each movement, need to sell much more to get 1.74 to 1.85 than to get 1.74 to 1.75. when a down trend starts, selling to 1.85 will push the price down much more quickly. in the middle of a down trend, selling to 1.85 or 1.75 doesn't make big difference: more positions each selling less on a small movement, or less positions each selling more volume on a small movement. so overall, selling to 1.75 will result in less sell pressure

I'd say traders gotta trade anyway. selling up to 1.85 means 10x sell pressure each movement, need to sell much more to get 1.74 to 1.85 than to get 1.74 to 1.75. when a down trend starts, selling to 1.85 will push the price down much more quickly. in the middle of a down trend, selling to 1.85 or 1.75 doesn't make big difference: more positions each selling less on a small movement, or less positions each selling more volume on a small movement. so overall, selling to 1.75 will result in less sell pressure
